We'll check for you, advise what's needed and can help with the application. We won't work on a protected tree without the proper consent, as unauthorised work can carry heavy fines.

We clear everything away. All brash, timber and wood chip is removed and recycled responsibly — we hold the relevant waste carrier registration. If you'd like to keep the logs for firewood, or the wood chip for your borders, just tell us beforehand and we'll leave them for you.

Most tree work can be carried out safely all year round, and we work through every season. That said, winter (when many trees are dormant and have lost their leaves) is often ideal for pruning and shaping, as the structure is easier to see and the tree recovers well. Some jobs are best timed around wildlife — for example, we take great care to check hedges and trees for nesting birds during the nesting season (roughly March to August), as it is against the law to disturb them. If your work is urgent or storm-related, we'll always come out as quickly as we can, whatever the time of year.
